You should read up on the options and have an opinion. I would also recommend not using Ubuntu. While they have their "server" spins (which is really just a different set of default packages at install time) it doesn't make for a good server OS. In-place upgrades across major releases still are a nightmare if you've deviated too far from Canonical's expectations. -- Rich Pieri
