[Discuss] scanner issue

running fc35 on lenevo thinkpad T460.

setup hp photosmart d110 on hplip, and then tried to scan,
getting window with this error message:

  could not create temporary file.
  open menu preferences->setup tab save and
  select a temporary directory where you have
  write permissions.

also getting window with this error message:

  error during CMS conversion
  could not open scanner ICM profile

i'm saving scans to:

  /home/moylan/Downloads/

moylan Downloads[1001] ls -ld
drwxr-xr-x. 1 moylan moylan 30 220416:1218 ./

moylan 2022[999] ls -ld $TMP
drwxr-xr-x. 1 moylan moylan 7858 220418:1730 /home/moylan/tmp/

been running this printer/scanner for years under hplip.
not sure what went wrong or what i'm supposed to do to fix
it.

suggestions welcome.
