On my Debian (IceWM running in xvnc) and Tumbleweed (KDE Plasma/X11) machines there is no /tmp/.X11. There is /tmp/.X11-unix/Xn, where "n" is the display number, which is a domain socket that local X11 clients can use instead of TCP/IP if I'm not mistaken. -- \m/ (--) \m/
