How annoying, the wifi on Jetblue seems to have a specific objection to ssh connections. On a recent flight I tried to ssh, no go. Okay, they are blocking that port, so I'll put an sshd on 443, they don't block that. Um, for ssh they do! On my return flight I could not ssh to 443, but I could telnet to that machine's 443?though I suppose they would watch everything that goes over that TCP connection and as soon as it involved setting up ssh, they would block it /then/. I'm thinking I need to set up a VPN server that tunnels through TLS. Not going to be a perfect disguise, but I bet mostly good enough. Donno. (Suggestions of the easiest way to do that?) Grrr, -kb, the Kent who was also geoblocked a few days ago, and a VPN can often help with that, too. P.S. I got an e-mail from my notebook while on the plane. So they aren't blocking outbound port 25. (The mail went notebook to server and back to notebook; I wish Thunderbird could access an mbox, or maildir, but I couldn't find a way.)
