Sus? Yes, though the notes by Toolybird do help ease some of the
suspicion. Still... I'm not going to be using Ventoy for the
foreseeable future which is a shame.

As for GPL violation? Perhaps but not necessarily the way you are
thinking. All of the code in the project is licensed under GPL v3.0...
but since we don't know the provenance of the blobs it might be a
violation of those licenses to distribute under any GPL.
