I finally seem to have Dovecot replication working between my two e-mail servers??not a trivial exercise. A key step was to duplicate a Dovecot patch that added a "count--;" to replicator-queue.c, and build my own .deb files. I downloaded the official .deb files that I am replacing and set them aside (to be sure I have then in case I want to revert for some reason) and I installed my new ones. They seem to work. What is the best way to manage this going forward? I think I would like to find out about any changes to the official Debian .deb files, so I can download new sources and reapply this patch, if necessary. Thanks, -kb P.S. Allow me to annoy people by pointing out that this is the sort of bug that Rust programs mostly don't have.
