I don't care what happens in the build system (I don't think I brought it up)?and what happens elsewhere, I'm dismayed that a very bad Linux kernel bug -- one that had a fix before it was widely publicized -- took two-weeks of typing "apt update" every day (sometimes more than once a day) for me to see a new kernel. I suppose everything could be just fine and working as normal. Or, maybe things are under stress. I take your message to be "just fine and working as normal". -kb
