Mosaic2.7b1 exe is strange/unusable filetype

I downloaded Mosaic 2.6 probably 2 weeks ago and it works fine within X
except some minor problems which I think are related to the X server I'm
using (VGA16). I too have used Linux 1.2.1 and 1.2.11 and everything
works OK.
