How do folks,
I have been assigned the task of testing software on Linux system connected
to a network of Sun systems.
I have limited time, and have been reading and searching like crazy for a
straight forward process to allow anyone to log onto this system and be
recognized as themselves with their home address.
I have it to the point that anyone can log on, but their home is
automatically assigned to / of the system and not their real home.
I have read about the diferences of the way Sun and AMD maps work. I have
even located a perl script that will convert Sun mount maps into a format
that AMD will understand.
But I am confused as to the exact steps that are necessary to accomplish
this.
As anyone undertaken a similar task, and do you have a series of steps that
will walk me through this, or at least some good pointer to other
information.
I have limited time to get this going.
