Solaris permission problem(newbie)

One way is to put the patch cluster on a different file system and use
symlinks from /var or simply just mount it. Remember that your log files
are on /var, and unless you rotate them, they can get quite large.
Another solution is just junk the Sun and get a Compaq Wildfire.
Compaq's Alpha processors are still the fastest CPUs in the world.
Remember that /var contains /var/spool
