Processor Upgrade

I am currently operating a Wintel machine with Linux running with a Pentium 
II MMX 266 Mhz processor.  I want to upgrade my processor to at least 300 
Mhz.  What is the fastest processor I can get (e.g. Pentium II 333 Mhz, or 
some other Intel processor such as a Celeron)?  Also, where can I get such 
processors these days?
