I've had mixed luck with the Okidata OL400: I've bought four so
far, all from ebay. Drum quality varies a lot, and one that I
bought had a broken "fuser" which my local repair shop quoted
$250 to replace.
That said, I'd still buy one: they run about $50+ on ebay. I
recommend anyone buying one this way should figure they'll need
a replacement drum ($72 refurb), and the 2MB memory upgrade
unless the unit already has it ($57), but once you get one going
they're great workhorses and will do anything a HP Laserjet II
will do. They're also quiet enough to use when the kids are
asleep, and print 4 PPM.
