Fw: For internal network use

Use the "play" command, which is part of the "sox" package of audio tools,
to send any sound file out the audio port.  From the command line, You can
make the computer beep or play Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture -- it's all
just binary data at that point.

In order to detect network traffic, you could set up the "ipchains"
facility and have it log events which should trigger action.  Then just
have a process watch the log file.
