Hi,
I've got a CD/RW,CD-R disk player, but it doesn't seem to require
anything calls 'sr_mod'. It certainly uses the 'sg' kernel module
(generic SCSI). I have a Matshita CD-RW CW-7585 Rev 1.01 (which I can
see when I run 'cdrecord -scanbus'.
FWIW, I have:
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 4 May 13 21:59 /dev/cdrom1 -> scd0
brw-rw---- 1 root disk 11, 0 May 5 1998 /dev/scd0
(I did have to recompile my kernel to get this to work, FWIW)
-derek
