Assuming you're talking about sharing a DSL or cablemodem connection in
your
home, I'd strongly suggest picking up a Netgear or Linksys cable/dsl
router.
You can find these at places like CompUSA and Best Buy.
They act as a firewall as well as a router, and they're incredibly easy to
set up. They do network address translation and provide dhcp, so you only
need a single address from your ISP.
