Hi,
I am kind of new to Linux and yesterday I tried to install LINUX on my
computer. Well, everything went fine till I reached the Xconfigurator. The
problem is that I have a Panansonic 17" moniter (model S70) and this
moniter does not exsist in the moniters database. SO I selected "Panasonic
S17"...thinking that it means a 17" panasonic moniter. Then it asked for
the video memory that my machines has. It may sound really dumb but I
don't remember that and I have also lost the specs!! So I gave 4mb.
After that it asked for the resolutions and I played pretty safe and gave
a couple of low resolutions in th 8, 16 and 24 mode. After that when I
rebooted the machine...well the display is exteremly huge and the screen
is rolling up-down...sideways.....
I again ran Xconfigurator and it doesn't seem to solve the problem.
Any clues or any suggestions what I should do?
Manish
