I can't answer the question about the wheel since mine does not have
one. However, I have the Logitech marble trackman, and find it to be the
most comfortable easy to use pointing device for me. IMHO, I think the 3
button would be best to get. You might check online for prices as well as
Best Buy, MicroCenter and CompUSA. As I said, I've never had any
problem with my trackball. And in the past, I have had mice, and even a
Kensignton crap out on me (or actually my wife who I gave the
Kensignton).
The most important thing is comfort and usability.
