Anyone use jpilot?

I've been using jpilot for a couple of years with no problem. This morning I
found that I was unable to change any entries in jpilot. I can make the
changes in my Palm Pilot, and they will be reflected in the database.
I did notice when syncing that it reports and fseek failure. I'm running a
2.4 kernel.
It appears that the database is read-only, but I did not explicitly check
the permissions. Since my Palm Pilot is also synced at work and I back
up my home directory on my system at home, I can safely blow away
the database and reload it from the palm. I think that somehow one or
more of the database files is screwed up.
