Actually scp has one big problem in that you cannot specify user id. That 
bit me when I had my laptop with me at Northeastern and wanted to 
upload stuff to blu.org. My solution was to copy the data over to the 
Northeastern system from my laptop, then ssh to blu.org, then ftp from 
blu.org to the Northeastern host.
