alternatives to slashcode

I'm looking for weblogging software with the following features (in
order of priority):
* open-source reasonably secure generates RSS files syndicates RSS
* files from other sites database-backed (Postgres preferred, but I'll
* settle for mySQL) easy to install easy to hack
I'm willing to forego these features:
* efficiency themes "you can do XYZ without knowing how to program"
* "you can to ABC without writing HTML directly"
The most obvious contender is Slash, but if there are more lightweight
alternatives, I'd appreciate pointers.
Also: the machine that would be serving the weblog has a 350 MHz
Pentium II and 64 MB of RAM (see http://ropine.com/about/petunia.txt
for the complete dmesg). On the one hand, I don't want to assume that
my site will generate so much traffic that I should boost it up to 256
MB (or whatever) before there even *is* a site. On the other hand, I
don't want to wake up some morning and say, "gosh, the hard-disk light
seems to be on all the time and X is really really sluggish; I should
do something about that, umm, when I have a little free time."
Assuming that I get the blogware installed and the blog running, at
what point should I check pricewatch.com for the latest rates?

"Rav would never cross a bridge when an idolator was on it; he said, 'Maybe he
will be judged and I will be taken with him.' Shmuel would only cross a
bridge when an idolator was on it; he said, 'Satan cannot rule two nations [at
once].' Rabbi Yannai would examine [the bridge] and cross." --Shabbat 32a
