ssh delays

| sometimes there is a version mismatch going on too (this can apply to

This option isn't documented in "man ssh", and when I use it, I get a
Usage message. There is a -2 option, and it has the same delays. When
I use -v -v -v, there is a message after the connection is
established that looks like:
debug: no match: 1.2.26 [for trillian.mit.edu]
debug: no match: 1.2.27 [for eddie.mit.edu]
debug: no match: 1.2.31 [for another remote host]
debug: no match: OpenSSH_2.9 [for a fourth host]
These do look like complaints about the remote system's version
number. But it only started doing this a few weeks ago (and I haven't
upgraded ssh for several months). And it happens with all hosts where
I have an account. (Funny thing; when I try "ssh -v -v -v blu.org" it
goes through quickly. But I don't have an account there, so I can't
test whether it's something wrong in my .ssh directory.)
Note that, for the fourth host, it does use version 2, and that has
the long delay.
