I agree with Seth.
Make sure the computer power strip is not connected to the same circuit as
some heavy equipment:
Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, Furnace.
Each of these creates a spike.
A good surge suppressor can help to regulate the line voltage, not the
cheap ones you can buy for $10.
