sendmail can't send to hotmail address

There is a setting available in sendmail.cf ("O DeliveryMode=defer") which
is specifically intended to acocmplish this.  All client mail is queued
and DNS lookups are deferred until the queue run for the delivery attempt.
This is equivalent to specifying "-odd" on the command line.

Whether this is a good idea is debatable.
