Just throwing in my 2 cents.
DON'T USE REDHAT 7.0!!!
I'd recommend either 6.2 or 7.2 (with all the patches of course ;-)
Seriously though, rh70 is a poor choice for newbies. Especially if
you want to get into compiling your own stuff (like kernels, etc...)
RedHat used a bastard version of glibc, beta version of gcc, and
all kinds of half-breed untested mush to produce rh70. Steer clear.
