Were there deps other than DRM and Xaw3d? Usually XFree depends on
things like xfs, libs, base-fonts, etc. Not having these things would

You'll need to have XFree86-base-fonts and XFree86-xfs installed, at a
minimum. You could skip xfs, but you have to remember to adjust your
FonPath to compensate.

This appears to be the rawhide version. I don't know that it's broken
in any way, but you might want to grab the skipjack version (-52) just in
case. This won't help your current situation, but it might avoid other
problems.
