Suggestion on VPN - I'm new to VPN

Hello all,

I'm new to VPN. Any suggestion on VPN? I plan to setup
VPN between Linux and windows but cannot find any good
solutions between them. 
I have MS2000 server, XP client and Redhat 7.3 Linux
Server. 
Any suggestion over VPN between Linux and Windows are
very very appreciated.
