Rebuilding

Thanks for the input, everyone.

That makes it sound like Debian should be my choice.  Supported, but not
over-supported.  Speed is not an issue, and I won't care if the latest
camera software wasn't available.  It's a server primarily, and I usually
login through ssh, so even x and all the stuff that goes with it could be an
option I'd turf if it meant the os was more stable.
