It would be unfortunate to see RCN go. They do provide some competition
to Comcast.
One comment about Comcast. Although my service with Comcast has always
been excellent, I was aware of David's problems with Comcast. But I knew
several people in Waltham who had ATTBI/Mediaone (Comcast's predecessor)
and had nothing but problems. And, those people I know who have
Speakeasy like that service. Speakeasy has a $19.95/Mo introductory
offer for 3 months on 1.5Mbps ADSL service. Also, Earthlink is another
broadband possibility.
