What you could also do:
- build a UNIX box at home and use the dialup account to access your
system whenever you want (not that the UNIX box need be on a modem,
but with direct Internet connectivity, your dialup connection could
let you remotely access it whenever you want)
or
- check out www.freeshell.org. Not sure of your level of need for
UNIX tools, but it is an option.
