That seems to be the worst of both to me: The older software of Red Hat 
Enterprise without the on-call support.

Personally, if I needed an enterprise server, I would not mind spending good 
money for software and licenses and support for Linux.  It's sill *much* 
cheaper than Windows, and it works.
