Over 20 years ago I recommended a Mac to a friend of my father. He has
2 of them, one in Florida and one here. He only uses a spread sheet.
On his trip back from Florida, he lost his boot disk. He may have left
it in the airport, but he still has his data in MS Excel format.
Assuming that he is not going to get a new Mac, the best solution is to
find him a boot disk. I posted a similar note to the Macwoburn list.
Since I still have some old 720 disks, I was wondering how successful I
would be if I could get a boot disk image and copy to a 720 floppy,
which presumably would need to be formatted for a Mac.
Actually, I'd like him to get a newer computer, but we would still have
to copy the spread sheet.
As I said, the best option to get hold of an old Mac boot disk or an
image.
