This person will assist with the design and implementation of a new
product. The person will focus on implementing User Interfaces in a
Linux embedded environment. The person must have extensive experience
with Linux applications programming using C++. Strong verbal and written
communication is required. Strong networking is required.
Required Skills/Experience:
* Strong C++ on Unix and/or Linux (Linux is heavily preferred)
* OOD/OOP
* QT programming experience (Embedded highly desired)
* User Interface experience, particularly embedded
* Understanding of Unix and/or Linux internals and configuration.
Linux background is heavily preferred. Debian Linux is ideal.
* Strong verbal and written communication
* Senior engineer with full software development lifecycle
understanding
* Prior background in writing requirements specifications (Use
cases preferred)
* Prior background in writing design documents (UML desired)
* Distributed and Concurrent Programming
* Strong networking
Desired Skills/Experience:
* Design/Implementation:
* Systems-level programming; experience with daemons,
schedulers, inter-process communication, filesystems, and memory
management
* Telephony experience
* Embedded development, particularly on PowerQuicc and ARM
processors
* In memory caching
* Unix/Linux system administration (this is not an administrative
role, however we would like some understanding of this area)
* Toolsmith (build tools, profilers, debugging tools, unit test
frameworks, development environments, etc.)
