The $100 laptop closer to reality

From a social and economic standpoint, technology is making is much more 
difficult to provide education to the lower economic groups. 
Remember back 10 years ago where at the BCS we had programs to give used PCs 
to teachers because they could not afford to buy them. Most teachers today 
can afford decent desktop and laptop systems, but the kids from the poverty 
areas can't. I think it will become mandatory for the schools to provide 
computers to the kids.
