You can try dmidecode. It provides a lot of useful information from the
BIOS. What information is provided varies a bit from system to system, so
I'm not sure how much luck you'll have.
Additionally if you have ECC memory and a supported ECC controller,
/proc/ram gives useful details about the various memory banks.
