Sure. You can sign up for Dreamhost. I used the code MDDR which is
$29 for an entire year (reg. $120/year). However, you must realize
the problems with shared hosting. Especially with Zope/Python and
most other scripts running on Apache, if your processes use too much
CPU time, they may get ulimited. So, a nice Xen instance gives you a
fair amount of room. And you can install whatever you want.
Sometimes there are benefits to managing your own configurations. You
have freedom. But if you don't care, sure, use a shared hosting
server. But I thought you guys were hackers!
