I got a new Garmin GPS handheld ... now what?

So, I picked up a new handheld gps which I'm going to use to replace my
streetpilot (I'm going to add the city maps).  But, I'm getting
interested in waypoint / track management.

Can anyone recommend a good software tool that runs on linux?
