Sounds like a good idea. I've heard developers comment on NetBSD's
good kernel (clean, well written). I've been interested myself but
haven't found a use.

Yeah I already have an OpenBSD server (which I setup at the last
installfest). I think for the most part Linux is better suited for the
desktop than BSD (compatibility), but both Linux and BSD make
excellent servers. OpenBSD makes a good desktop as well if you're
comfortable using the ports system, right?
