I don't know how long this has been out for, but I just ran across an ad
for the Nokia N800 NSeries Internet Tablet:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2817195
It's selling for $370, and looks to be an updated version of the 770. It
mentions it has a built-in web cam (big deal) and WiFi. Did the 770 have
WiFi? It also mentions it can gain Internet connectivity via a
Bluetooth-enabled cell phone, but still no built-in GSM transceiver. The
reviews say it is smaller, has a faster CPU, and a clearer screen than
the 770. It comes bundled with Opera 8 Web browser, Google Talk and
other VoIP clients, with a Skype client in development.

Nokia is launching a Developer Device Program to provide open source
developers with Nokia N800 Internet Tablets at a discount. Maemo.org
will be providing 500 devices at a price of 99 euros per device to
selected open source developers.
