As already mentioned, vmware. You probably want to start with VMware Workstation to build and test your VMs. While I have not mucked with AD I see no reason it should not work. I have VMs for each of those versions of MS-windows, plus others. On my laptop I usually run two VMs at a time, for client/server testing. You'll probably want to use Bridged networking. You may wish to stick with a supported Host OS. But if not, you will benefit from the vmware-any-any-update patch. I use this under FC5. The docs and whitepapers are respectable. The vmware Forums are a good place to search for help.
I derive much pleasure for taking MS-windows and stuffing it into a neat and tidy VM box. Then I can shut it down, stick into a dark virtual corner, only to speak when spoken to.
