speeding up OpenOffice?

Thanks for the advice.  I've noticed that my own laptop (a Thinkpad T22,
900 MHz Pentium III) also needs more memory (losing Firefox every time I
compiled a certain program with GHC was kind of a hint), so I guess I'll
just be placing a larger order than originally planned.
