Getting used to the mac single button...

Guys,

With the rather impressing glitz of the Mac OS X, I'm having a hard time 
with the single button interface. For example, when composing mail in 
thunderbird, using my trusty three button mouse, I could right click on 
the misspelled word and a menu of word options would pop up. How can I 
do that with a single mouse button interface? Is there an alternate 
button/key sequence which will do a "right click"?
