I've had success in doing upgrade installs, and I've even jumped
fedora releases. I jumped from FC3 -> FC5 without any major
issues. I think when I migrated to F7 I had a new machine so
I started over. I plan to upgrade to F9 but I've been waiting
to find the time where I can have a week to make sure everything
all works.
I've got a 320GB drive in my system, so backing up my data takes
an awful long time.
