It's all latency, and there are lots of reasons for it. Link
saturation. Open connection list size. SYN floods (triggers alarms
on some SMC Barricades). Traffic load (Netgear FVS114 can crash under
the load).
Try reducing the number of active torrents and/or concurrent
connections as well as limiting down and up bandwidth.
