Virus protection on Linix server with Samba Shares

Hello All,
    I looking for some insight from Admins use or do not virus protection software on Linux server that support Samba shares.
I had a user detected and removed a virus from their Samba share. I'm  looking into the protection now and still is a learning curve for me on the Linux side.
