It's been a while, but it shouldn't be too hard IF you are comfortable
with semi-command line
type programs.  You might just want to check out the docs on the web
sites I mentioned  and see if it seems reasonable to you.  I would
suggest using the System Rescue CD I mentioned which bundles partimage
and other system recover/backup programs into a live Linux CD.
