I use pcdisposal.com.  It's fairly cheap, and you're guaranteed the computers will either be reused or recycled.  You will not see or hear of them afterward.

By default, they don't do a thorough disk wipe, but if you pay extra, they will.  (I presume degauss, but I don't know for sure.)

If the systems have any value, they're resold or donated.  I say kudos to them.
