I don't recall this conversation, but thank you Tom for replying to it. ;-)
I can say this: Over the last 10 years, I have sometimes worked as a contractor for a company, sometimes a part-time employee, sometimes a direct employee. I currently do only consultation work, where I'm employed by a Service Partner (CleverTrove) so technically, all the work I do is as an outsource provider.
The service I provide now is just as good, if not better, than the service I ever provided as an employee.
