Me too. I got one of those 2560x1440 27" monitors from Microcenter
http://www.microcenter.com/product/384780/EQ276W_27_WQHD_IPS_LED_Monitor#
a year and a half ago. Not as good as 2560x1200, but a definite step up
from
1920x1080. I have a 19" 1440x900 set up next to it in portrait mode
so my desktop spans 3460 x 1440. Sort of a poor mans 3K setup.
I often display PDFs reference documents on the 19" in full screen mode
while using the 27" for everything else. That gives me an effective
resolution of just over 100dpi when displaying nominally 8.5 x 11 inch
PDFs. Not fantastic, but easily readable given that the 19" screen is
considerably larger than a sheet of paper.
