I use Claws-Mail, I've been very happy with it, and have been on their
user list since early 2012. I don't remember a Claws developer saying
losing mail is OK. I did a little search of my archives and came up
with this:

If that's indeed the context, it should be pointed out that such loss
involved Claws, Dovecot and Debian, not just Claws.

It should also be pointed out that no email client I've ever heard of
is immune from losing email: Not Claws, not Thunderbird, not even Mutt.
Stuff happens. My finding is that Thunderbird is 10x slower and piggier
than Claws-Mail, therefore more likely to hang and crash, therefore
more likely to lose email.

Claws-Mail is by no means perfect, but I think any mention of an
anecdote where a developer said email loss is OK should be
referenced to put it in context.
