[Discuss] xsane pblm

after much googling and grumbling, i downloaded hplip anew
on cmp#1, uninstalled/reinstalled, actvated the scanner and
now all is well.

ditto cmp#2.

not that sane hadn't worked fine on cmp#1 some weeks ago.

one goes around in circles, and then takes a jog.  too soon
old -- to late smart.

sorry for the bother, but thanks for all the suggestions.
